Day of muddy family fun planned for Escondido this fall

Escondido families looking for a challenge that can also be a lot of fun may wish to include an upcoming event in their plans for this fall.

Those who take part in the Subaru Kids Obstacle Challenge will climb, jump, crawl, and run through a series of obstacles. There will be lots of sliding in the mud, and both fun and competitive waves will be offered. Parents are welcome to run with their kids in the fun events, but the competitive ones are reserved for kids who are ages 10 to 16.

All of the runners will receive a finisher’s medal as well as event photos, Clif Bars for all members of the family, and a cinch bag. The top three finishers in the competitive waves will be awarded a prize from Razor Scooters. Banners, certificates, medals, and other customized items for an occasion like this can be provided by an area printing services company.

The registration fee for the race starts at $36 each, and the price will go up as the date for the event gets closer. Parents can choose the wave that has the time best suited to their schedule, and they are not required to pay for their ticket.

This chance for Escondido families to enjoy a day of fresh air and fun has been planned for September 30. It will be taking place in Kit Carson Park, which is located at 3333 Bear Valley Parkway.
