An artist who was successful almost from the beginning of his career will be appearing soon in Escondido.
Clink Black grew up with music always playing at home, where his father noticed Black’s vocal talent. He joined his elder brothers, Brian, Kevin, and Mark, in their band as they played for family events. Black remained with them until he went out on his own.
His solo career kicked off in 1987 when he met Hayden Nicholas, a fellow guitarist, who became Black’s songwriting partner, a relationship that lasted for decades. The two made a demo, “Nobody’s Home,” and Black was able to get it to Sammy Alfano, a record promoter. Two days later, Black was invited to meet Bill Ham, ZZ Top’s manager.
He signed with RCA I 1987 and released his debut album, “Killin’ Time,” in 1989. The album was a huge success, with four of its tracks going straight to No. 1 on the US Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks charts. During his career, Black has been nominated for four Grammys, and had singles in the No. 1 spot more than twenty times. A review says:
“This was honestly one of the most entertaining shows that I have been to. Clint is an amazing singer and guitarist, and he is funny as well.”
Clint Black will be at the California Center for the Arts on September 24. Colorful Posters advertising events like this can be created by the concert organizers using poster printing.
