The Mike Zito Band is performing soon, and they are featuring Jimmy Carpenter in the performance. Mike Zito is a contemporary blues artist who has won praise for his integrity, authenticity, and honesty. These qualities have guided Zito throughout his career from the beginning and Zito himself has said:
“I try not to write fluff; I try to make every word count.”
Mike Zito is a record producer singer, songwriter, guitarist from St. Louis. He began singing when he was five and by the time he was in his late teens, he had his career underway in the local area. He released his first records independently before signing with Electro Groove and releasing the album “Today” in 2008. He recently received three nominations, for Blues Rock Artist; for the Blues Rock Album “Life is Hard” (2024), and as Contemporary Blues Male Artist.
Jimmy Carpenter is a saxophonist, songwriter, singer, arranger, and award-winner. He received the Blues Music Award for Best Instrumentalist/Horn I 2021 and 2022. He also picked up a Grammy for a composition he wrote for “Atmosphere,” an album dropped by the New Orleans Nightcrawlers. Carpenter, whose career now spans 40 years, spent many of them in New Orleans but now is based in Las Vegas.
The show is scheduled for June 13 at the California Center for the Arts. Occasions like this benefit when organizers use poster printing to create effective advertising for them.
