Basin Robins coming to Escondido

Escondido ice cream fans will soon have a new place to go to indulge their sweet tooth.

Baskin Robins recently announced that it will be setting up shop in the North County Westfield Mall, which is situated at 272 E. Rancho Parkway. The location is currently under construction in a high traffic area of the facility, and the company is searching for those interested in becoming franchise owners. The plan is for it to be up and running in time for this year’s busy holiday season.

The new franchise will be built in a kiosk style, which the company notes is a more “investor friendly” model than a stand alone location. It will still carry the chains well known line of flavors and products.

According to company representative Grant Benson, the outlook is for at least two other locations to also open in other parts of the San Diego area along with this new Escondido branch. The stores will be turn key operations, with training provided. A new business like this provides spin off benefits for other firms and service providers, such as printing companies. They can supply all the printed materials need to help it get off to a successful start.

Baskin Robins is currently on of the largest chains of ice cream retailers in the United States, and also has many store around the world.
