Art show adds new life to Grand Avenue Festival in Escondido

The popular Grand Avenue Festival is celebrating its 30th year in downtown Escondido.

The Grand Avenue Festival takes place twice a year - the last Sunday in May and the last Sunday in October. For the second year running, dozens of Southern Californian artists will be exhibiting their work in an art show called Art in the Garden.

It is the latest addition to the street fair, which first began in 1989 and now includes hundreds of vendors, with food, music, and games. The festival is also a chance to get a head start on holiday shopping.

The Art in the Garden display will be located in Heritage Garden on the east end of the festival. Attendees can meet the artists and there will be also be artistic activities for children.

Artists wanting to sell their work at the Art in the Garden display need to apply before October 11. The day is organized by a group called MAGEC – Music and Arts: Growing Escondido Culture. The organization is made up various arts and cultural businesses and not-for-profits, such as museums, theaters, and art galleries.

Community events like these bring people together from all walks of life and are perfect opportunities for businesses and sponsors to connect with the community via Promotional Products.
