A yearly Christmas celebrity event is returning to Escondido for the 35th year.
Carols by Candlelight is welcoming country music star Rodney Atkins for only one night. The artist is a multi-platinum winner whose No. 1 hits include “If You’re Going Through Hell, Take a Back Road” and the monster hit “Watching You.” He has numerous nominations for Grammys, ACM, and CMA awards, and won the Academy of Country Music’s award for Top New Male Vocalist. Country Aircheck named “Watching You” the Number One Song of the Decade.
Another special guest at the show is John Ford Coley, who is half of the England Dan and John Ford Coley duo, who released hits such as “Love is the Answer” and “”I’d Really Love to See You Tonight.” Together, they had two hits in the Top 20, and four in the Top Ten. Their albums were rated gold and triple platinum, and they won a Grammy nomination, and released eight albums.
Anna Vaus is also performing. She sang with Keith Urban at the CMT Awards and has toured with Maddie & Tae in support of “Hearts They Didn’t Break.” Steve Vaus and Back to the Garden are also performing. The artists will be singing both their hits and popular Christmas songs.
The show is scheduled for December 7 at the California Center for the Arts. Audiences enjoy reading programs to learn about artists, which organizers will typically design with a printing firm.
