The Tantra Institute is set to present a speed-dating program in Encinitas, offering attendees a guided alternative to conventional dating.

The event features a series of short, facilitator-led partner exercises designed to encourage presence, communication, and interpersonal awareness.

Participants alternate through up to 20 encounters, each structured to minimize awkward pauses and reduce the pressure of traditional conversation-driven dating.

According to the Institute, more than 94 percent of participants identify at least one individual they would like to contact after the session. The group also offers a “connection guarantee,” promising a complimentary ticket to a future date for anyone who leaves without a match.

The Encinitas event will be led by facilitator Shiva J, a practitioner with experience in somatic bodywork, coaching, and meditation-based instruction. The program is alcohol-free, and attendees are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing suitable for both seated and movement-based activities.

Organizers caution attendees to purchase tickets directly from official channels to avoid fraudulent resales.

Tickets to the event are $48.76 for early bird admission, $59.76 for general admission, and $96 for last-minute admission. Tickets will also be available at the door for $150.
