Encinitas will transform into a celebration of movement and Mexican cuisine with the Taco 5K™, which is a lively coastal event that brings together exercise, community, and flavor.
This unique 5K experience invites participants to enjoy a scenic route along Highway 101 while sampling tacos from local restaurants. The event blends fun and fitness with taco tastings, family activities, and ocean views that capture the laid-back spirit of the California coast.
Runners and walkers will encounter several themed taco stations along the way, each featuring a distinct local flavor. Participants can expect festive challenges, photo opportunities, and coastal views culminating in a beachside finish at Moonlight Beach. Designed to welcome all ages, the Taco 5K™ encourages families, friends, and even grandparents to join in. Each registration includes a race bib, T-shirt, finisher medal, and complimentary tacos at each stop.
Tickets are available at three levels: early bird admission for $47, general admission for $55, and group entry for $47 per person for teams of 10 or more. All packages include the same benefits.
