Street fair kicks off holidays in Encinitas

Since 1984, Encinitas has started the holiday season with a festive event for everyone to enjoy and this year plans are as exciting as ever.

The Encinitas Holiday Street Fair is hosted by the City of Encinitas, the Encinitas 101 MainStreet Association, and local businesses. The fair stretches along the 101 Coast Highway in downtown Encinitas, and will be a great start to the season.

More than 450 participants will be on hand with food, craft and art items, children’s rides, and a dog and child friendly beer garden with live music. Live entertainment will perform on four different stages, many playing holiday favorites, and bike valets will be on hand to park bicycles, so their riders do not have to find a spot for them.

Attendees can expect to enjoy festival ambiance that includes seasonal decorations and trees decorated with twinkling lights. Organizers of events like this might work with a printer and ask the shop to use banner printing to create appropriate seasonal decorations.

Festivalgoers will also find local artisans on hand with unique holiday décor, artwork, jewelry and more, giving people a chance to get their shopping started early. Food will include gourmet holiday treats, hot cocoa, and other goodies, all supplied by local vendors.

The fair is also a showcase for local businesses who will set up booths and pop-up shops to give visitors a chance to learn about their products and services.

The Encinitas Holiday Street Fair is scheduled for November 24, from 9.00 am until 5.00 pm.
