Halloween is on its way and Spirit Halloween has opened 17 stores in San Diego County, including one here in Encinitas at 222 N. El Camino Real.
The store – which offers Halloween décor, costumes, and accessories for adults, teens, and children – also allows online shopping. Online patrons can filter their costume shopping by size and price, as well as movie or TV character. As of mid-September, the company’s most popular choices were fox, Stitch, and Harley Quinn costumes.
Depending on the venue, a supply of Business Cards in a costume pocket might be a smart move at adult Halloween parties, since novelty themes can still have a business undertone.
San Diego County is following the recommendation of the California Department of Public Health that a face covering be worn by everyone in indoor public setting regardless of whether or not they have been vaccinated. Each Spirit Halloween store will provide a hand sanitizer stations at its entrance, and registers will have plastic shields around them.
Spirit Halloween, while not specifically requiring vaccinated customers to wear masks, will mandate that all of its employees wear face coverings whether vaccinated or not. Unvaccinated customers will be required to wear masks. The company encourages all customers to make themselves aware of local masking policies.
In total, the company has 1,400 seasonal locations across the country.
