Seniors have day of their own in Encinitas

A special event to help Encinitas seniors will be coming up soon.

The Encinitas Senior Expo is placing its focus on embracing and enjoying retirement. It is expected that more than 100 exhibitors and experts will be on hand, and more than 1,000 people are likely to attend.

The event is open to everyone, but is likely to be most interesting to those who are going to retire soon or are already retired, or younger people who are concerned about the options available to help care for aging parents. The population of Encinitas is older than average, making the event an important one for many of the members of the community.

Retirement is a major life change, and can bring opportunities for travel and further education and development, but it can also mean health-related challenges, particularly related to remaining in the family home. The 2019 expo brought together hearing experts, memory care specialists, financial consultants, Medicare experts, and more. The upcoming event's speakers have not yet been announced.

The Expo is set for February 8, from 10:00 am and 2:00 pm, at the Encinitas Community Center. The Encinitas Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring the show. There is no admission fee. Flyer printing is a good mechanism to use to create handouts for events like this, since it gives attendees a list of vendors as well as the locations and times of experts' talks.
