An upcoming camp in Encinitas will engage children’s imaginations in a magical maritime world.
Encinitas Karate is the creator and host of various camps held throughout the year. The camps are for youngsters ages 5 to 11, and each has a theme, including the upcoming Sea Wizard & Magic Camp.
In late July, the campsite will be transformed into an underwater world with hidden treasures, where seahorses, mermen, and mermaids dwell. Children will learn to cast seafaring spells, make magic potions, and craft beautiful wands. During the camp, they will make new friends and become “shipmates,” and at the end of the camp, they will present a finale that showcases their new skills.
In addition to daily art and craft projects, the camp offers scavenger hunts, mystery challenges, laser tag, and creating mythical creatures through crafts. A guided walk to Oak Crest Park will take place daily, where the children will spend two hours enjoying activities at the park before walking back to camp, once again with a guide, for an afternoon of indoor activities.
Activities will be organized by age group, and friends will be kept together while encouraging youngsters to learn to work together.
The Sea Wizard & Magic Camp is scheduled for July 22-26, at Encinitas Karate on Encinitas Boulevard. Organizers of events like this will often use flyer printing to create daily schedules for participants.
