Hard partying band coming to Encinitas

A group that has been called the “funniest band in America” is coming to Encinitas.

Posters for the group Sweet N’ Juicy show the three musicians who comprise it in their costumes. Sweet is dressed as a banana, N’ is a pineapple, and Juicy is a strawberry. They are dedicated to one thing: playing a lot of concerts at which people can party.

Sweet N’ Juicy spend more nights performing than not, averaging 200 shows annually. A glimpse at their schedule shows them traveling around from state to state on a daily basis. They apparently thrive on their crazy schedule.

All three members of Sweet N’ Juicy are professionals who have worked as session musicians most of their lives. Prior to forming their hard-working band, Juicy toured internationally, N’ and members of Parliament Funkadelic played together, and Sweet worked on a song with Blondie. They grew tired of the business end of the music industry and left to try to succeed on their own. Since they made that decision, they have appeared more than 700 times in the West, and are now adding the South to their schedule.

Sweet N’ Juicy will be at the 1st Street Bar & Grill in Encinitas on April 26. Organizers of events like this often use poster printing to create suitable advertising for the concert.
