A golf tournament is coming up soon in Encinitas that raises money for a good cause.
The 7th Annual Pizza Port Golf Tournament has been rescheduled and will go ahead later in the year. The tournament is organized by Pizza Port Brewing Company, and will be held at the Encinitas Ranch Golf Course.
Registrants will enjoy a full day of fun including a light breakfast, lunch, and a BBQ dinner, courtesy of the Julian Beer Company, a brewery and BBQ restaurant in Julian. Other breweries will provide delicious beers to thirsty golfers during the day. They include Lost Abbey, Societe Brewing, Coronado Brewing, Karl Strauss, and of course, Pizza Port. Raffles are also planned.
The tournament raises funds for the Surfrider Foundation, a non-profit organization that works to protect the world's oceans, and access to them, using a network of activists. The foundation has a staff of more than 50 who support a network of chapters that work at the local level by going to court, championing the foundation's policies, and making residents aware of issues facing the oceans.
The tournament was scheduled for May 5, but will now be held September 1, from 9.00 am until 6.00 pm, with a shotgun start planned for 11.00 am. The golf course is on Quail Gardens Drive in Encinitas. Brochure printing can be used to create informative Booklets about the work of beneficiaries of events like this.
