Exciting film and book tour coming to Encinitas

An unusual and exciting event is coming to Encinitas.

Great Adventure Productions is hosting the Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival World Tour, which brings the films and Books featured at the 49th Banff Centre festival to audiences around the world.

Films about skiing, mountaineering, and the adventures available to those who choose to explore the wild will be the highlight of the event. The films feature everything from exploring harsh landscapes to watching high-energy sports and have been carefully selected for the tour.

A brief recap of some of the selected films illustrates what attendees can expect. Produced and directed by Matt Raimondo, 2024’s “Ian” introduces audiences to Ian Elliott, an Australian climber who is 72 years of age. His outstanding climbing talents defy societal stereotypes about age and show his resilience.

“Dolomites” is a French film from 2024, directed by Kilian Bron and Valentin Birant. Bron and his team film their adventures as they go biking over the Dolomites’ steepest trails.

“Going East” is an intriguing 2024 film from Austria. Director Loïc Isliker follows a group of skiers whose aim is to take public transportation east as far as possible, stopping to ski as they go.

The Banff Center festival will be held at the La Paloma Theatre at 471 South Coast Highway 101 in Encinitas on March 5, 6, and 7. When they plan events like this, organizers may want to use flyer printing to create a schedule of events for attendees.
