Encinitas welcomes in Spring

Since 1985, Encinitas has thrown a party to welcome the return of warmer weather.

The Encinitas Spring Street Fair is a joint effort of the City of Encinitas, the Encinitas 101 MainStreet Association, and local businesses. The celebration takes over several blocks of Historic Highway 101, turning them into a showcase for musicians, artisans, and local businesses. The fair is for everyone in the community but also gives over 450 local businesses a chance to present their products and services.

Although specific vendors and performers are still behind finalized, there are some general guidelines for what fairgoers can expect. First, local artists and craftsmen will present their creations, from textiles to pottery to jewelry. These are handmade items that cannot be found elsewhere.

Entertainment and live music will include local performers and musicians. A number of bands representing a wide range of musical genres will be on hand to keep things rocking.

Foodies will love the fair. Local restaurants and food vendors will offer a variety of cuisines from local favorites to international flavors, so there is sure to be something that everyone will enjoy.

The fair is also family friendly. Interactive exhibits, activities for children, and a warm atmosphere make the festival suitable for people of all ages. Among the children’s activities are games and face painting, as well as age-appropriate performances.

This year’s fair is scheduled for April 26 and 27 and can be promoted by organizers who may choose to use poster printing to create advertising.
