Encinitas ready to egg on the spring

An eggs-travaganza is coming to Encinitas, bringing fun for the whole family.

The City of Encinitas is hosting the annual Spring Egg Hunt, which features a search for the 20,000 eggs that will be hidden throughout Encinitas Community Park.

New this year will be live music, with hosting duties performed by the City of Encinitas Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Arts Department. Kathryn the Grape will be the featured performer – this is the stage name of Kathryn Cloward, who is a media producer, singer/songwriter, and successful author known for her songs and Books for both adults and youth audiences. She has more than 60 awards to her credit for her work in self-help, and is a regular contributor to “Guitar Girl Magazine.”

There are three separate times for the Egg Hunt, giving everyone ample time to find as many eggs as they can. At 10:15 am, children four years of age and under can hunt in the upper field, while those five and older go to the lower field. The next hunt begins at 11.00 am, with the same guidelines, and the third hunt starts at 11.45 am. The event ends at noon. Organizers of outdoor events like this can use banner printing to create sturdy decorations for the occasion.

The Spring Egg Hunt is set for April 16, with overall hours of 10:00 am until 12:00 pm. Hunters will need to bring their own baskets.
