Outdoor concerts take on a special quality in the summer, and a music series in Encinitas will entertain listeners through August.
The San Diego Botanic Garden in Encinitas is the location of the Summer Nights Concert Series which takes place in July and August. There is still time to plan for the two August concerts, plus the popular Wine in the Garden that will end the special events.
The Euphoria Brass Band promises a rousing show. They were founded in 2011 by David Bandrowski and Ron Bocian, two transplants from New Orleans, and Drew Miller, a DJ on a jazz station in San Diego. The band mixes West Coast flair with traditional brass band music from New Orleans and has shared the stage with New Orleans greats like Dr. John, the Dirty Dozen Brass Band, and more. In 2019, they won the San Diego Music Award in the Best Jazz category.
Next up is Jessica Fichot: From Paris to Shanghai. Fichot is a vocalist and multi-instrumentalist who combines traditional French chansons, cabaret, and jazz. In addition to fronting her own group, Jessica has written hundreds of songs for children’s television.
The Wine in the Garden evening includes presentations about wine growing as well as wine tastings.
The Euphoria Brass Band appears August 3, Jessica Fichot on August 10, and the Wine in the Garden is August 17. When events like these are planned it’s a great idea for organizers to use brochure printing to create informative programs.
