One of Europe’s favorite festivals will be celebrated in Encinitas soon.
The Encinitas Chamber of Commerce is hosting its annual Oktoberfest for the 27th year. This community event is free for everyone and celebrates the German heritage of many of the area’s early settlers, which dates from the 1880s, when 25 families established the Olivenhain colony.
People attending Oktoberfest will find local artisans with their products, and a traditional German beer garden, where a stage will provide room for dancers and musicians who will entertain with the music of Germany.
An international food court will feature German foods and the beer garden will also feature local craft brews. The list of vendors will be announced closer to the event but as Encinitas has several craft breweries, beer lovers will no doubt enjoy sampling local brews as well as traditional German products.
The Oktoberfest location is a one-third mile span that runs along Mountain Vista Drive between Rambling Road and Wandering Road. This allows room for an expected 175 vendors as well as the many people from all over the region who are anticipated to attend. Organizers of outdoor events of this size could use banner printing to create Signs that will identify the entertainers and vendors, and are weather resistant.
The Encinitas Oktoberfest is one of the most anticipated events in the North County area and this year is scheduled for September 24th from 10:00 am until 6:00 pm.
