Going to the movies in the middle of a health crisis is tricky, but a theater in Torrance, a few miles from Carson, has found a way to make sure everyone stays safe while they have fun.
The Roadium is bringing back its 1950s-style drive-in, which allows people to enjoy a film and still maintain required social distancing protocols. In addition, the drive-in will bring back plenty of memories for older members of the audience. Not only will attendees be able to enjoy a show, but concessions and hot food will be available too.
For one night only, the Roadium is presenting “Toy Story,” the now-classic Pixar film about toys who have a secret life. The film is in the style of a typical “buddy” movie, except the heroes are toys. One, Woody, is an old-fashioned cowboy doll operated by strings, who faces off against Buzz Lightyear, a newcomer who is the action figure of an astronaut, and much more modern. The film is suitable for everyone in the family.
The movie will be shown Saturday, November 21 at 7:30 pm, with the gates opening at 6:30 pm. The admission fee is $30 per vehicle, no matter how many people are accompanying the driver. Banner printing can be used to create seasonal decorations for outdoor events like this.
