Scottsdale plant and flower lovers are invited to attend the Maricopa County Home & Flower Show coming in early May.
More than 1000 home-improvement-related vendors will be merging with the state's biggest indoor flower show to create a three-day regional expo geared to gardeners, homeowners, design enthusiasts and Do-It-Yourselfers. Vendors at shows like this get any business card printing, paper products or banner printing done weeks in advance.
Free make-and -take workshops will feature Design It, Laser It keychains, Blooming Kitchen floral spatulas, Bloom & Fresh air fresheners using preserved flowers and Botanical Watercolors where attendees will create 4x6 watercolor art.
Other show attractions will be the Floral Showcase with cascading and towering floral displays, a green house, eccentric bouquets and a flower market. The Flower Home & Market will offer garden accessories, DIY bouquet bars, floral products, handmade items, decor and exotic plants.
The Plant Bar will offer mini workshops including Sunflower Sprout, Edible Blooms, Flower Crown and Eucalyptus bundles, and newt this year will be the Plant Pavilion where thousands of rare, tropicals, bonsai, herbs, carnivorous and seedings will be available for purchase.
Local florists will be competing in this year's Battle of the Bouquets, where landscape installations like floral fountains, tropical themes, mystical grottos and minimalist gardens will compete for Best in Show.
This year's Maricopa County Home and Flower show will take place May 1st to May 3rd from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm at Westworld of Scottsdale, 16601 N. Pima Road.
