The First Baptist Church of Scottsdale and MentorKids USA will be presenting their annual MK5k and MK5k+ in early March.
Proceeds will go to providing healthy after-school meals for South Scottsdale school children.
The MK5k will be a full race morning including a 10k run, a 5k and a Fun Run. Check-in for the MK5k will begin at 7:30 am followed by the 10k start at 8:15 am. The 5k will start at 8:30 am and that will be followed by the Fun Run at 8:45 am. Registration for the 10k will be $60, the 5k will be $45 and the Fun Run will cost $25. Prices will go up on February 22nd.
Swag for the 5 and 10ks will include medals, event T-Shirts, and after party access. Kids under the age of 18 are invited to run the Fun Run and are also invited to attend the after-party.
Running events like this often get their paper products and event T-Shirts printed at local Print shops.
This event will be held at Scottsdale's East Ramada's Eldorado Park, 2311 N. Miller Road.
The course for the MK5k+ will be mostly on the Scottsdale's Greenbelt/Eldorado Park corridor. There will only be the 5k for this event, and registration will be done at the event on race day.
This year's MK5k+ will take place on Saturday, March 7th at 5401 Hayden Road beginning at 10:00 am.
