Scottsdale celebrates civil rights leader

Scottsdale's Community Celebrating Diversity will be presenting Scottdale Celebrates MLK Jr. Living The Dream as its contribution to the valley's 32nd annual Martin Luther King Jr. birthday commemoration.

Featured speaker for this year will be Chairperson of the US Civil Rights Commission, Dr. Mary Frances Berry.

Individual passes will be $75. Supporter sponsorships will include passes for 10 guests plus company logo placed in the event's printed program. The Program Sponsorship will include 10 guests passes, company logo on the CCD website, one diversity award winner and recognition in digital and printed materials. The Bronze sponsor will receive the 10 guest passes, their logo on the event website, recognition on the electronic and printed materials for both the Voices event and the MLK Celebration, and one scholarship featuring their name.

Silver Sponsors at the $15,000 level will receive 20 guest passes, their name on two scholarships, verbal and electronic and printed material recognition, prominent logo visibility and have one of their representatives introduce the event speaker. The Gold $20,000 sponsor will receive all the amenities offered with the Silver sponsorship with guest passes increased to 30 and welcoming remarks given by a company representative instead of the speaker introduction.

Local civil rights activists often have Print shops do some flyer printing to get the word out about events like this.

The 2026 Dr. Martin Luther King Celebration will be Thursday, January 15th at the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts, 7380 E. 2nd Street beginning at 5:30 pm.
