The Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts will host a concert by Killer Queen this October.
As a Queen cover band, featuring Patrick Myers as an uncanny Freddie Mercury, Killer Queen plays the greatest hits from the legendary rock group’s catalogue, including “Another One Bites the Dust,” “Bohemian Rhapsody” and “We Will Rock You.“
Myers has been fulfilling the role of Mercury for over three decades, ever since Killer Queen formed in the early ‘90s. The band’s formation came at the beginning of what would become the tribute band trend we see popularized today and shortly after Mercury’s death.
To honor the late singer, Killer Queen walked in the footsteps of the band it is paying tribute to by hosting its earliest shows at the University of London, which is the location Queen first took the stage back in 1970.
A trained actor and dancer, Myers has carved out a name for himself as a performer in his own right, to the point of being featured in a Fatboy Slim song that became a No. 1 hit, “The Real Life.”
Killer Queen also had a residency at a theatre in London’s West End.
Concerts like this may choose to use banner printing to create marquees, stage decorations and venue Signs.
Killer Queen - A Tribute to Queen is performing on October 14 at 7:30 pm at the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts at 7380 E Second St in Scottsdale.
