What's Happening in Mesa, AZ…

October brings two Mesa celebrations

Fall is coming soon and it will be time for Celebrate Mesa Fall 2022 and Dia de los Muertos.

The Celebrate Mesa Fall 2022, a four-hour event, will offer free kids’ games, bounce houses, a petting zoo, food trucks/vendors, live entertainment, and Encanto characters milling with the crowd. The Main Stage will feature bands Arizona Blacktop and Awake at Midnight.

Wristbands, priced at $5, will be available for unlimited rides at the carnival, and painting classes will be available for those aged 12 and older who have previously registered.

Food trucks will be onsite selling seasonal treats. Local businesses still have time to get their logo design out to the public by purchasing one of the sponsorship opportunities still available, and anyone interested can contact parkevents@mesaaz.gov.

Celebrate Mesa Fall 2022 will be October 8 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Red Mountain Soccer Complex, 905 N Sunvalley Boulevard. Admission will be free.

Later in the month, the Mesa Arts Center will present its annual Dia de los Muertos, a free Latin American cultural and arts event, celebrating Day of the Dead. The center will have performances and traditional competitions. A Mercado vendor area will have Mexican-themed items and food.

Volunteers are still needed to set up, clean up, help with the artist interactives, greet, direct visitors, and help with volunteer hospitality.

Dia de Los Muertos will take place October 22 and 23 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.
