Mesa treated to pinball tournament
The Star Fighter Pinball Festival here in Mesa will be four days of certified pinball frenzy featuring three tournaments, a Max Match Play and Sunday Strikes.
With a 160-player limit, the Main Tournament will be group match play over two days. Qualifying rounds will be played on Friday. This will consist of seven rounds with three games per round. Top players will go to the finals on Saturday. The Finals will be three games per round with a group elimination format. The top 40 players will compete in Division A Finals, the next 16 highest scoring players will compete in Division B and Division C Finals will consist of 16 highest qualifying players not in the top 1000.
A SPF26 Classic Tournament will have qualifying rounds on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and finals on Sunday. A Women's Tournament will also be on Thursday, Friday and Saturday with final played on Sunday, Cash prizes will go to the top 24 contestants and trophies will go to final four. Max Match Play will take place on Thursday from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm and Sunday Strikes will be on Sunday starting at noon.
