New year brings charity golf classic
Many golfers in the Mesa area will be celebrating the new year on a local golf course by playing a special event for charity.
Future For Kids 22nd Annual Golf Classic will be an all-day event with check-in at 9:30am. Guests may eat complimentary hot dogs, participate in a raffle and silent auction, enjoy drinks, and warm up at the putting green or driving range until the shotgun start at 11:00am.
During play, golfers can enjoy complimentary beers, and participate in contests and activities.
A buffet dinner will be served on the patio, beginning at 5:00pm, followed by an awards ceremony where raffle winners may pick up their prizes.
Single VIP passes will be $50, and foursome VIP passes will be $200. These will come with access to contests, two mulligans (free strokes), a pre-stocked cooler and a cigar.
Five major sponsor levels will include the $500 Single Golfer, $2000 Golf Foursome, $3000 Open, $5000 Par, and $10,000 Masters. Lesser sponsor levels will include the $500 Driving Range, $1000 Swag Bag, $1000 Beverage, $3000 Dinner, and $4000 Hat sponsors.
Proceeds will go to Future for Kids, an organization that creates strong, mentor-driven youth programs and camps to empower disadvantaged children.
