Mesa welcomes World Ballet Company
Local parents looking for something to do with their kids this fall may want to take them to The World Ballet Company's production of Cinderella coming in mid-November.
The World Ballet Company, as its name suggests, is made up of an international cast and crew. The company travels all over the world visiting approximately 30 cities each year. Its productions tend to be Broadway style. Its staging of Cinderella includes over 40 dancers, all wearing a variety of brightly colored hand-sewn costumes and custom-built sets. The choreographer is Marina Kesler.
The performance will follow the fortunes of a young woman, her evil stepmother, stepsisters, and other characters such as the fairy god-mother and helpful mice as Cinderella and her family attend a fanciful ball, held by the local handsome prince, who is looking for a bride. There will be two acts separated by an intermission.
Organizers of the event promise an enchanted evening, filled with unforgettable music, dance and plenty of romance. This performance will be fit for people from age 2 on up.
Tickets, including fees, run from $45.00 to $122.50.
