What's Happening in Mesa, AZ…

Mesa to enjoy April events

Three outdoor events are being planned for April in Mesa.

First up, Julie Spilsbury, District 2 Councilmember, will be hosting a free Easter Pancake Breakfast on April 8, from 8:00 am to 10:00 am. Along with the breakfast, the event will have a petting zoo, bounce house, and arts. An Easter egg hunt will begin at 9:00 am. This will be at Greenfield Park, 4105 E. Diamond Avenue.

Downtown Mesa will then be the location of the 6th Mesa Music Festival. Known as Arizona’s Premier Emerging Artist Festival, the three-day event will feature music and art from around the world. Other activities include art activities, a vendor village, and food trucks.

Up-and-coming artists will be introduced to various facets of the music industry – including recording, writing, performing, entertainment law, booking, and marketing – in mentoring sessions. Many festival attendees see this as a networking opportunity, and will no doubt be bringing business cards.

Mesa Music Festival will take place April 13 through 15.

Meanwhile, over in Pioneer Park, 526 E Main Street on April 15, there will be Celebrate Mesa Spring 2023. Activities will include live entertainment, superhero meet-and-greets, kids’ games, bounce houses, a petting zoo, and food trucks. Festivalgoers can purchase $5 wristbands for unlimited carnival rides, and there will also be DART Boogie and AZ Social Axe Throwing.

Celebrate Mesa Spring 2023 will be from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
