Mesa runs its own marathon
The Mesa-Phoenix Marathon is now the Mesa Marathon, and this Arizona premier race will be coming to Mesa in early February.
The event will include an Amazon Kids 1K free race, a 10K, and a half marathon along with the marathon. The marathon will be USATF certified and a Boston qualifier.
Spectators are encouraged to attend, and those who view racing events like this often like to get some banner printing done before the big day.
Free highlight videos and photos will be emailed to each participant a few days after the race. Swag will include choice of tri-blend T-shirts or short-sleeved, long-sleeved, or tank tech shirts and finisher medals.
Registration will be $179 for the marathon, $159 for the half marathon, and $64 for the 10K. Packet pickup will be free at the expo the day before the race, $20 if picked up on race day, and $40 if mailed.
The starting line for the Mesa Marathon will be on N. Usery Pass Road on McDowell Road for the half marathon, and on 8th Street at Fitch Park for the 10K.
Awards will go to high-placed finishers in the races, including prize money for the main marathon.
The kids’ 1K will begin at noon and the adult races will begin at 6:30 am. The Mesa Marathon for 2025 will take place Saturday, February 8th.
