Mesa goes golfing for charities
Mesa duffers will have the opportunity to go to two charity golf tournaments - one at the end of April and the other at the beginning of May.
Fore the Boobies Charity Golf Tournament will be raising awareness and funds for early detection of Breast Cancer.
The 6-hour event will begin with registration from 6:30 am to 8:00 am followed with a shotgun start at 8:00 am. The usual contests - hole in one, longest drive, etc. will be conducted during play, and lunch, raffles and awards will follow.
Registration is $150.
Fore the Boobies Charity Golf Tournament will take place from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm Friday, May 2nd at Dobson Ranch Golf Course, 2155 South Dobson Road.
Toward the end of the month, Stephanie's Angels will hold its 4th Annual Golf Tournament.
Registration will be $110 per individual players and $400 for foursomes and will include range, green and cart fees.
At 6:30 am the range will open, and at 7:30 am players will start play using a scramble format.
Stephanie's Angels is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides needed items such as shoes, teacher supplies, hygiene products, blankets, coats, infant car seats, and "hugging pillows" to the community.
Stephanie's Angels Golf Tournament will take place at Golden Hills Golf Club, 425 S. Power Road, April 26th.
Supporters of charity events such as these often go to local print shops and use flyer printing to get the word out.
