Mesa disabled athletes compete in Desert Challenge Games

Arizona Disabled Sports will once again be hosting a multi-sport event, Desert Challenge'25, here in Mesa in late May.

This event draws top talent from all over the nation and includes athletes with visual, physical or intellectual disabilities.

The Broadway Recreation Center, 59 East Broadway Road, will have air pistol and air rifle competitions while the Williams Field Pool, 1900 S Higley Road, Gilbert will hold the swimming competitions, and the Lehi Sports Park, 2228 North Center Street, Mesa will host the archery competitions. Arizona State University will be holding the track and field events. The DoubleTree by Hilton Phoenix Mesa will be the event headquarters.

Free adaptive sports clinics will include a Full Circle Movement Mobility Clinic on Thursday, May 29th at the Arizona State University's Joe Selleh Track from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The clinic is open to all ages and will include balance, confidence and movement.

A toddler fun run will be a 20-meter run on Saturday, May 31st.

Eight sponsorships levels are available from $200 quarter page advertisement in the event program to the $10,000 Gold level. A special Title Partnership comes with banner printing done by the local organizing committee, local representation on events shirts and medals, full page program advertisement, booth space at athletics events and opening ceremony speaking opportunity. Lesser levels include either tables at the reception or tents at the individual events.

This year's Desert Challenge Games will be held May 28th through June 1st.
