Mesa area museum celebrates holidays
The Musical Instrument Museum, a short way from Mesa, will be celebrating the Christmas season with 'Tis the Season, one day in mid-December, dedicated to holiday traditions from around the globe.
Along with the holiday traditions experiences, the day will begin with MIMkids Mini Music Makers for children under the age of four. This series introduces children to Latin America. Tickets are $12 per session and $40 for all four classes in the four-week series.
Attendees in The MIMkids Musical Adventures, which is for children from the ages of 6 to 10, can experience activities from England including crafting handbells. Tickets are $12 per session or $30 for all three classes in the three-week series.
At noon, the Phoenix Boys Choir will present Luminous - a holiday concert. This family tradition will feature holiday classics sung by the choir, some of its soloists, alumni, and the audience accompanied by its chamber orchestra.
That evening, beginning at 7:30 pm, the museum will present A Winter's Eve with five-time Grammy nominee David Arkenstone and Friends. This candlelit holiday concert blends Celtic, New Age, neoclassical crossover, and orchestral music with many tunes from his winter holiday albums.
Tickets will be the general museum prices, which are $20 for adults, $15 for teens, $10 for children ages four through twelve, and free for children aged three or younger.
Institutions like this museum take information about upcoming events to print shops to use in their visitor guide brochure printing.
'Tis the Season will take place Saturay, December 14, at 4725 E Mayo Boulevard, Phoenix.
