What's Happening in Mesa, AZ…

Downtown Mesa holds weekend of music

For the seventh year, the area will be welcoming the Mesa Music Festival, touted as the state's first and foremost emerging artist festival.

Young artists from all over Arizona and other states will be presenting more than 200 performances, and attending workshops and lectures covering topics such as recording, writing, booking, performing, marketing, and entertainment law. Industry professionals will be available for one-to-one mentoring sessions.

Music groups coming to the event will range from Arizona's 3iDragon, All the Better, and Angelfood to ZeeCeeKeely and Znore.

A vendor village to be held on Saturday, April 20 from noon to 10:00 pm will include art activations, food, and beverages. Vendors at festivals such as this often put a business logo design on their paper products.

Some festival venues in Mesa's downtown area will be 12 West Brewing, Alchemy 48, Chupacabra Taproom, Que Chevre, The Salted Knot, Phantom Fox Beer Co., Organic Bean Café, Jarrod's Coffee, Tea & Gallery Indoor, Oro Brewing, and the Nile Theater & Coffee Shop.

The three-day event will support the Wounded Warrior Project, Solace for Hope (creating safe places for those dealing with loss, incarceration, substance use disorders, and mental illness), Shriners Hospitals for Children, The Grace Loncar Foundation (fighting mental illness and depression), and College Bound AZ.

Mesa Music Festival will be April 18 through 20. Free to the public, it will take place rain or shine.
