Downtown Mesa has Mexican fiesta
To celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, along with Mexican independence from Spain, Mesa's East Valley Hispanic Chamber of Commerce will be holding its 2nd annual El Grito multicultural fair in mid-September.
Along with Mexico, other countries honored on the day will include Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Honduras, Guatemala, and El Salvador.
More than 100 vendors will be selling Mexican and Latino-related items such as crafts, food, drinks, and art. The Mexican Consulate will be among the folkloric dancers and mariachi bands presenting live cultural performances.
Although the Patrocinio GritoFiesta $10,000 sponsorship has been taken, there are still sponsor opportunities at the $5,000, $3,000 and $2,500 levels at the time of writing. The VIP Reception sponsor at the $2,500 level will need to remember to bring business cards as they will have many networking opportunities during the VIP reception. This sponsor will also have their logo design placed on event banners, signage, and event promotional materials, and a representative will give the keynote address at the reception.
The $3,000 and $5,000 sponsors will receive stage signage, vendor booths, live onsite marketing opportunities and annual membership to the Chamber. The $5,000 level will also get print and broadcast media and e-mail blast recognition.
El Grito will take place on Saturday, September 14 from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm in Pioneer Park, 526 E Main Street. Admission will be free.
