Black Jacket Symphony comes to Mesa
Mesa will be treated to a live performance of a classic rock album in early November.
The Black Jacket Symphony will be presenting the Eagles “Hotel California” and all the group’s greatest hits sound for sound and note for note. No sonic detail will be left out and musicians will do everything in their power to reproduce the album. The event will also be a visual experience.
Released in 1976, one of the most-sold albums of all times, Hotel California was the Eagles’s 6th album. Who could forget the sounds of Don Felder, Glenn Frey, and Don Henley. This was guitarist Joe Walsh’s first album with the group and bassist Randy Meisner’s last. Three singles “Hotel California”, New Kid in Town” and “Life in the fast Lane” came from this album.
Fans that flock to events like this often go online beforehand to purchase classic rock memorabilia such as hats, t shirts and mugs decked out with the iconic rock group’s logo design.
The Black Jacket Symphony has presented more than 40 classic rock albums ranging from Rumours (Fleetwood Mac), Thriller (Micheal Jackson), Nevermind (Nirvana) to Purple Rain (Prince), The Dark Side of the Moon, The Wall, and Wish You Were Here (Pink Floyd), and A Night at the Opera (Queen).
Tickets to the event will run from $22.50 to $44.50. The Black Jacket Symphony will be at the Ikeda Theater at the Mesa Arts Center, Sunday, November 5th beginning at 7:30 pm.
