Hard Rock ready for Anchorage

The much-anticipated launch of Anchorage's very own Hard Rock Cafe has hit a snag; there were not enough job applicants for the 150 openings initially offered, but the boss of the outlet is not worried.

Indicative of Anchorage's vibrant economy, the rapid growth of restaurants and retail outlets in the city recently is said to be the cause for the so called 'labor puddle'.

However, though the recent event to get workers into the new eatery was not as immediately successful as hoped, the Hard Rock bosses are not overly concerned.

The 'cool' nature of the brand is expected to soon have the right people in the right place, with the manager for the outlet, Scott Brokaw, saying:

"With us being music-related and known for great service, I think we will do really well in getting employees."

There is also a lot of interest from far further than the local area, with the new Anchorage poster printing likely to come in for some attention from customers.

With Hard Rock merchandise eagerly collected by fans throughout the world, many people are booking trips to Alaska just so they can be the first to get Anchorage-branded Hard Rock gear.

Taking up residence on the former Rumrunners Bar and Grill, the Fourth Avenue site will typically be adorned with rock, pop, and all types of music memorabilia.
