Kincaid Park in Anchorage will host Alaska Ski for Women’s 30th anniversary in February.
Alaska Ski for Women is a competitive event where female athletes of all skill levels can race on a decorated course while supporting a good cause. The money raised at the skiing competition will go towards the Nordic Skiing Association of Anchorage and will help organizations that combat domestic violence. Participants in the race can also dress up to compete in a costume contest. There will be awards for the best individual, duo, and team costumes.
Businesses can become part of the skiing event by becoming a sponsor. There are four sponsorship levels that companies can choose from, which range from $600 to $4,000. The benefits of sponsoring the race include being recognized on the back of the event shirts, logo representation in the event’s booklet, and opportunities to host vendor booths on the day of the race. Businesses that pay $4,000 can have Signs posted along the event course.
The skiing competition will be held on February 1st from noon to 5:00 pm. The cost to register for the event is $40 per person. People can also sign up to volunteer at the skiing fundraiser. Organizations that hold charitable athletic events like this may use banner printing services to decorate their venues and promote sponsors to attendees.
