The First Alaskans Institute (FAI) will organize a fundraiser in November at the Marriott Anchorage Downtown.
The Howard Rock & Ted Stevens Smokehouse Gala is an annual fundraiser that helps the FAI support native populations while honoring notable members of the community. Many awards will be given out at the event, including the Howard Rock Alaska Native Leader, First Alaskans Young Native Leader, and Friends of First Alaskans Ted Stevens.
There will be several sponsorship opportunities for those interested in supporting the FAI. The sponsor levels start at $2,500 and go up to $25,000. Companies can receive many benefits for sponsoring the gala, such as logo recognition on the event's website, a spotlight in the FAI's newsletter, and a feature in a thank-you post on social media.
The FAI is a nonprofit organization that represents the interests of native Alaskans and works to ensure these populations are represented in important decision-making. Apagruk Roy Agloinga is the current president of the group, and Sedaadze' Renee Linton is the director of the organization's Alaska Native Policy Center.
The gala will be held on Saturday, November 21st at 6:00 pm. Tickets to attend the FAI's fundraiser event will cost $350 per person. People can also donate additional money to support the FAI. Organizations that hold yearly galas like this can make personalized Corporate Gifts to thank their sponsors.
