The Alaska Center for the Performing Arts in Anchorage will hold a performance in May that showcases Philippine culture.
Asian Culture Night 2026 is an event where people can experience music and dance from the Samahan Filipino American Performing Arts and Education Center. The show is titled Sining Samahan: The Art of Coming Together. There will be several segments to the concert based on real locations, including The Barrio Countryside and The Cordillera Mountains. Those who attend the event will get to learn about the stories and history behind Philippine culture.
The Samahan Filipino American Performing Arts and Education Center is an organization that was created by Dr. Lolita Diñoso Carter to give Filipino Americans a space where they can feel pride about their culture. The group’s current president is Reina Belle Chiong. People can book performances from the center for events like weddings and pageants. The organization also holds many Filipino folk dance classes and hosts cultural workshops on subjects like Philippine gong music and the regional diversity of the Philippines.
The cultural event will take place on Friday, May 8th from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Tickets for the performance start at $20 per person. All ages may attend the show, though children who are under 16 must be with someone who is 21 or older. Cultural organizations that hold performances like this can advertise their shows by using flyer printing services.
