A run will be held in Anchorage to help raise funds for the men and organizations fighting against prostate and testicular cancer.
The Alaska Men’s Run is an event where people can increase awareness for prostate and testicular cancer by participating in a public race. The program will be held at the Kincaid Chalet. Awards for the five-mile timed run are given to the top male and female finishers, and there will also be awards for the highest-ranking teams. A separate route is available for those interested in completing the two-mile walk instead. People can even participate in a virtual version of the program.
The Alaska Men’s Run was created in 1996 to help fund programs that promote the early detection of prostate and testicular cancer. A portion of the money earned at the race also helps men with these conditions pay for treatments. The race even supports educational activities and health awareness programs. Companies can contact the event organizers for sponsorship opportunities, and people may volunteer to assist during the event.
The run will be on Saturday, September 16 from 10:00 am to noon. The cost to participate in the five-mile run and two-mile walk is $45 per person. The virtual version of the program will be held from September 1 to September 30. Organizations in charge of local races like this may use banner printing to share their events with others and promote their sponsors.
