Former Falkirk hotel to be turned into wellness centre

A historic building in Falkirk that was formerly a hotel is to be converted into what is being described as a ‘wellness retreat’, after the council gave the green light to the Plans.

This building is known as The Parsonage, and it is situated in the Airth district of Falkirk. Four years ago, Plans were lodged with the council to turn it into a home, but these subsequently fell through.

Since then, the F and K Partnership submitted Plans to convert it into a wellness retreat. This will involve a significant amount of work being carried out at the site.

Some of the outbuildings will need to be knocked down, and a number of new facilities are to be created there. The retreat will feature six lodges for people staying there on holiday, a studio for yoga, a gymnasium and a spa, among other things.

When it opens, the owners will have the option of using brochure printing services in Falkirk to show off the different amenities to potential customers.

The documents submitted to the council as part of the application state that the project will help in terms of conserving the building by getting rid of outbuildings that are in a poor state of repair, and are unsightly.

A start date for the conversion has yet to be announced.
