Falkirk music project to give opportunities to young people

A brand new music project that is aimed at young people is set to be launched in Falkirk next year, and it will give them opportunities to learn about production.

This project has been given the name ‘World Music Day – Young Producers’ and it is directly tied to the World Music Day event in the town. This is an event to celebrate live music that will be held during the summer, and the project will run throughout the six months leading up to it. During this time, the young people who take part in it will be able to learn about producing and planning live events.

Falkirk Council has teamed up with Falkirk Delivers in the development of the project and it will be open to those aged between 16 and 18. They will work with the arts team for the council and key figures from the music industry in putting together World Music Day.

The idea is to let them gain real experience in planning, promoting and managing big live events. Those skills can then be used in their future careers.

When it comes to promoting opportunities like this, poster printing by Falkirk shops can be useful. Posters are a good complement to online advertising.

Those who wish to enter for it need to be enthusiastic and hard-working. It will run from January until June next year.
