One of the pubs in question is called Behind the Wall and is a much-loved local fixture. It has been part of the fabric of life in Falkirk for more than four decades and is situated on Melville Street. The other one is newcomer The Rock Bottom, which opened last year in The Arcade. Both of these venues are in contention at the National Pub and Bar Awards for 2026.
They are among over 250 UK bars and pubs that are on the final shortlist. The owners of these venues will be invited to attend the awards ceremony, which is held each year in London. This year will mark its 10th anniversary.
When local venues win awards, they are sometimes keen to let people know about it using promotional items like Banners. Falkirk has shops that offer banner printing, which makes this possible.
The National Pub and Bar Awards are divided into County and Regional winning categories, but there is also an overall winner. They are organised by Pub and Bar Magazine and, according to the Falkirk Herald, its editor Tristan O’Hana said:
“Our bigger format from last year was such a success; we can’t wait to roll it out again this year.”
The ceremony takes place on 10 June.Get a Free Quote for Banners
