Falkirk building may be converted into housing

A building in the centre of Falkirk that holds listed status could be set for conversion into housing, if the local council decides that the Plans for this should be approved.

The building in question is owned by Jason Risi and it used to be home to an accountants. It is currently lying vacant, and Risi is keen to bring it back into use. He has submitted an application to Falkirk Council for permission to change the use of the building from commercial to residential.

This is the second application that he has put in for it, with the first one having gone in during the summer. It was a similar plan to the one that he is currently proposing, but Risi opted to withdraw it a couple of months later.

The basic idea that he has for the empty building is that it should be converted into housing. However, it is not clear at this stage whether he wants to turn it into a single home or a block of flats.

Graphic design outlets in Falkirk can be useful to local property developers. This is because they can help with the creation of images showing what planned developments could look like.

The building at the heart of these proposals is on Vicar Street. The council will announce its decision next year.
