Councillors announced at a recent meeting that they would consider methods of cutting the amount of noise pollution, due to the negative effects on pets and wildlife in the area. However, the climate change, planning and growth head Michael McGuinness stated during the meeting that the display provided a safe way for people to celebrate the occasion.
According to the Falkirk Herald, he then went on to add that it was important for local people to have a properly organised Bonfire Night display. McGuinness continued by saying:
“We are working very closely with the fire service and Scottish Police to ensure we have a safe and positive contribution to our community.”
People who attend events like fireworks displays sometimes take themed Banners with them, and there are banner printing outlets in Falkirk that can provide these.
McGuinness concluded by saying that the council would find ways of limiting the noise, as some residents have complained about the effect this has on animals. Fellow councillor Robert Spears pointed out that community events were an important source of cheer in difficult times.
The display is expected to cost £10,000, and the venue for it will be Callendar Park.Get a Free Quote for Banners
