Virtuoso guitaring coming to Coatbridge

A Coatbridge venue is set to welcome a world-leading fingerstyle guitarist.

The Georgian Hotel in Coatbridge will host an intimate musical event in the new year with a hometown show from the Scottish virtuoso guitarist, John Goldie. The evening event will offer audience an opportunity to hear the artist, once described as a “one man acid jazz band” perform live in concert. From hotels and theatres to clubs and cafes, live music venues across the UK will often use flyer printing services to advertise their calendar of events.

Playing since he was six years old, Goldie has performed his clever blend of melodies, grooves, chords, and bass to audiences around the world on electric guitars. He has toured with Martin Taylor the jazz guitarist and with his band Spirit of Django and worked with the legendary Andrew Lloyd Webber.

Goldie later signed with the Scottish record label, Watercolour Music and released four albums with them called 'Chocolate Maze', 'Picked in the Past', 'Open 4 Closure' and 'This Time and Place'. His recordings have received high praise from other guitarists including Queen’s Brian May and Ronnie Wood of the Rolling Stones.

John Goldie will now play The Georgian Hotel at 26 Lefroy Street in Coatbridge on Saturday, February 12 from 8:00 pm until 10:30 pm. The hotel insists on a no talking policy during performances to show respect to acts on stage.
