New homes to be built in Coatbridge
Work has now started on the construction of a brand new housing development at a site in Coatbridge, which is set to provide more than a hundred homes for local people.
This development is being built on a piece of empty land that used to be occupied by Columbia High School. It is part of a larger scheme announced by North Lanarkshire Council that will see 6,000 new homes constructed within the next 10 years. This particular development is set to consist of a total of 127 homes when it has been completed.
The building work is being carried out by CCG (Scotland) and the finished development will offer a range of housing choices. There will be bungalows, semi-detached houses and flats.
22 of the homes will be suitable for people with wheelchairs, while another 57 are set to be amenity houses. This means they can be adapted to fit the needs of their tenants.
Brochure printing by Coatbridge print shops can be useful to local property developers, when they have new homes to show off.
Michael McPake from the council told Scottish Construction Now that:
The homes will be fitted with solar panelling and will be completed in autumn 2027.

“In addition to delivering fantastic new housing for Coatbridge, the development will bring benefits to the local community, including local jobs, work experience placements and financial support for community projects.”
