A number of new homes will be built at one part of an industrial park in Coatbridge, after the council decided to approve an application to change the use of the site.
Drumpellier Business Park is owned by Fusion Assets and is located on Glasgow Road, Coatbridge. At the moment, there is only one office space in use at the site, which led the owners to put forward the change of use application. In total, the park measures 1.45 hectares and the company believes that 43 homes can be built on it, after altering the design of the park.
It is now set to be put up for sale to prospective housing developers for that purpose. However, this means that whichever company buys it will also need to submit their Plans to the council before work on any houses can begin.
Print shops in Coatbridge that provide Graphic Design Services may be useful to such a company, as they can help create images of any planned development to support an application.
The site opened as a business park back in 2007, but did not attract the expected degree of interest. Now it is felt that this could give it a new lease of life.
In addition to the homes, the company that buys it will have to create access routes and parking spaces.
