A Total Warrior challenge was tackled by the people of Bannan Fitness. As a result, £1,000 has been donated to the diabetes facilities at NHS Lanarkshire. Print shops in Coatbridge may be used for generating publicity in relation to future fundraising initiatives.
Pat Bannan told The Daily Record:
“Our goal is to do several fundraisers each year. We’ve collected thousands for various good causes, and we realised this was the perfect cause for one of our challenges.”
A diabetes consultant was the grateful recipient of the cheque. Dr Izzy Howat congratulated the team on their hard work and pledged that the money would be used efficiently.
The challenge took place in the vicinity of North Berwick. A distance of a dozen kilometres was travelled. An ice bath, a fire walk and an abundance of mud complicated the journey.
The cause of diabetes was selected by the group for family reasons. The granddaughter of Bannan has been affected by the condition since her childhood. Laura Dolan is now an adult and she has expressed her gratitude for the care she has been given in a special unit of Monklands Hospital. Dolan has been keen to acknowledge the supportive nature of the staff.Get a Free Quote for Print
